“Laguna Open to Business” will be the subject of the upcoming Laguna Beach Business Club meeting on Thursday morning, September 17, 2009.

Gregg Abel, principal Gregg Abel design, a member of the Planning Commission, serving on the Business Task Force will discuss recent establishment by the City Council to streamline the permit process for incoming business.  “Laguna Open to Business,” will be a series of three meetings, with the intent to offer a variety of information to those interested in establishing a business in Laguna Beach.

Greg's family has livd and worked in Laguna Beach since 1937. As a designer/builder, he is concerned with continuing the charm of Laguna, from both a design and a businessman's point of view.

Arts Commissioner, Pat Kollenda, will discuss the role of arts in Laguna – both as good business and good community building.  With the opening of our three art festivals in July, and the expected economic boost of the associated tourist season, the timing is perfect.

Ank Stuyfzand is a passionate organizational development consultant and certified leadership coach with more than a dozen years of experience. She worked internationally for small, medium and large organizations in different industries, varying from governmental, utilities, banking, retail, and not for profit.

After she moved from the Netherlands to the US five years ago, Ank founded InsideOut enterprise, a company that helps executive leaders and business owners to optimize their organizational effectiveness. As a leadership coach Ank works with executive leaders and professionals to optimize their effectiveness, balance and enjoyment, in both their work and personal lives.
